Happy Anniversary

Catching up on the year before I welcome the new.
In November, my parents celebrated 40 years together.
A birthday card for my mor.

Doodling

I'm not much of a doodler but while I was temping at a very quiet reception desk,
I discovered the joy of just letting the pen lead the way.

Island Beneath the Sea

Inspired after reading Island Beneath the Sea by Isabel Allende, I drew a few variations of the cover.

New website: annacreasy.com

After years of talking about it, I'm happy to finally have my own website annacreasy.com
I'm using a great template provided by Cargo Collective which will give me the flexibly to change as I do.

Draw by Night

I went to a great event last week called Draw by Night. Large sheets of paper are rolled out over the tables and everyone comes along and draws. The theme for this party was the winter commuter and the photo below shows my seat and the rugged up moustache man I drew.

Check out more photos from the night here.

Max Creasy: Reflections

My brothers exhibition opened last week in Melbourne at the CCP and I was lucky enough to be there. Included in the show was Photocopied Notes, a piece I contributed to by drawing his photograph on plaster before it was rephotographed. Check out more of Max's work here.

There was an old Lady

There was an old lady who swallowed a fly
I don't know why she swallowed a fly
perhaps she'll die!

There was an old lady who swallowed a spider
That wriggled and wiggled and tiggled inside her
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly
I don't know why she swallowed a fly
Perhaps she'll die!

There was an old lady who swallowed a bird
How absurd to swallow a bird
She swallowed the bird to catch the spider
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly
I don't know why she swallowed a fly
Perhaps she'll die!

There was an old lady who swallowed a cat
Fancy that to swallow a cat!
She swallowed the cat to catch the bird
She swallowed the bird to catch the spider
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly
I don't know why she swallowed a fly
Perhaps she'll die!

There was an old lady that swallowed a dog
What a hog, to swallow a dog
She swallowed the dog to catch the cat
She swallowed the cat to catch the bird
She swallowed the bird to catch the spider
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly
I don't know why she swallowed a fly
Perhaps she'll die!

There was an old lady who swallowed a cow
I don't know how she swallowed a cow
She swallowed the cow to catch the dog
She swallowed the dog to catch the cat
She swallowed the cat to catch the bird
She swallowed the bird to catch the spider
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly
I don't know why she swallowed a fly
Perhaps she'll die!

There was an old lady who swallowed a horse...
She's dead, of course

Happy Birthday Mor!

It's my mor's birthday, so I thought I'd share the illustration I drew for her (as well as the super cute photo of her with her knitted tights).

Mor, you're a huge inspiration and I wish you all the happiness for the year to come.
