- Rain and getting lost on the way to the hotel.

- Cute little shops full of loveliness.

- Beautiful design shops like Hay and Illums Bolighus

- Eating dinner along the water

- More ice cream!

Stockholm

Stockholm Highlights (2 days):

- Eating ice cream in the rain

- Going to Skansen, eating more ice cream and looking at all the cute Swedish buildings.

- Enjoying a feast of cheese, salad and wine in the hotel room with my mor

- Seeing some original Carl Larsson paintings, including two large murals in the National Gallery.

Norwegian Elk

I wouldn't call myself a hunter and I have no intention on starting, but there was something special about seeing Anders's Elk head and eating elk meatball. I admire Anders's relationship with nature and respect for what he's eating. It was a rare treat, especially as I normally eat like a vegetarian.

Drammen, Norway (10 days) Highlights;

- Fresh summer strawberries, waffles and cream

- The sunshine, the rain

- Hanging out with my mor and seeing family

- Scouring the local library for embroidery books

- Seeing Gunvor Nervold Antonsen's exhibition at Rollag's old train station.

- Having a few too many drinks with Anders

- Walking through the forest

Rhode Island

Rhode Island (4 days)

- Eating fresh lobster, corn and champagne for the first time!

- Baking choc chip cookie icecream sandwiches.

- Visiting Old Saybrook and having a pub dinner.

- Lounging on the beach.

New York

New York Highlights (6 days)

- Hanging out with Jess and Rob, and meeting their two little girls Annabelle and Amelia.

- Discovering Babycakes, a super cute gluten free bakery with the most delicious chocolate brownies and donuts.

- Going to the Purl SOHO shop.

- Celebrating 4th of July on the balcony drinking wine, eating bbq fish and seeing the NY lights.

- Visiting the MET and seeing the Steve McQueen exhibition and searching for the Modigliani piece.

- Watching an afternoon screening of 'Bridesmaids' with Jess.

- Visiting the International Centre of Photography and seeing Elliott Erwitt and Ruth Gruber exhibitions.

- Eating great food including Mexican and sushi.

- Discovering Madwell and buying 1 too many shirts.

- Reading 'Just Kids' by Patti Smith and loving it.
