Doodling

I'm not much of a doodler but while I was temping at a very quiet reception desk,
I discovered the joy of just letting the pen lead the way.

Caisy in the Woods

I came across the great work of Mat from Caisy in the Woods recently
He has planted more than 600 000 trees across British Columbia and Alberta.
On May 7, he planted one in my name.
It's awesome to think it will never be cut and here long after I've left Canada.

You can also have a tree planted in your name here

Clouds

I was very impressed with my parents handicraft when I received this wonderful gift of two cloud cutting boards.
I can't wait to put them into use.

Where I Rest

I have always been a big fan of Audrey Kawasaki, so you can only imagine how excited I was to open my birthday gift
from my beau to find this beautiful print. Thank you Erik!

Black Boxing Hares

My beau was sweet enough to buy me this needlepoint kit for christmas and today I finally cut the first thread and started.
I first saw the pattern in Liberty's, London almost 10 years ago and I've been coveting after it ever since.
It's made by Fine Cell Work, an organisation that trains prisoners to help with the creation of their needlework.

Seattle Sculpture Park & Pavilion

While at the sculpture park I was lucky enough to see three artists working away on this wall mural in the Pavilion. There was a film crew there too hoping to create a short video for the museums website.

Seattle

Seattle Highlights
- 'Worlds best' Mac and cheese from Beechers at the Markets. YUM!
- Radiohead Concert
- Lounging in Starbucks (it had to be done).
- Olympic Sculpture Park and the sunshine.
- Stacey Rozich exhibition at Flatcolour gallery.

Inspired after reading Island Beneath the Sea by Isabel Allende, I drew a few variations of the cover.

Today I rediscovered PES and his amazing stop motion. They always make me smile at their cleverness.

The not so invisible mother

While looking for some inspiration I came across this strange photographs where the mother tried to hold their kids still for the photographer. Not sure how successful they were in hiding themselves.

Sophia & Nick

I was lucky enough to go home for 2 weeks for Soph & Nick's Wedding. It took blood sweat and tears fo 2 months but I managed to finish this embroidery just in time. I wish them all the best as they start this new adventure together. xx
